The Longest Day for Alzheimer’s: Touch Rugby and Rugby Golf at Pocono
On Saturday, June 19th, William Dobbs is holding the Longest Day fundraiser for Alzheimer’s research. For the second year in a row, the event will include Rugby Golf, and this year will also include touch rugby played continuously from dawn until dusk at Pocono field.
Anyone can play touch rugby—your age, ability and experience does not matter, everyone can participate! Rugby Golf will start at 2 pm after the youth flag rugby matches conclude.
$10 donation per player for touch, $15 donation per golfer or $20 for both. You can pay by either making a donation on Dobbs’ Alzheimer’s page or Venmo @William-Dobbs-2. Various sponsorships are also available, and volunteers are much appreciated!

How we will play rugby golf:
Tee Off- Players will kick from a tee.
If the ball lands in play, you can kick from hand, drop kick, or throw the ball.
If the ball lands out of play, you can only drop kick or throw the ball.
If the ball lands in a hazard, 1 stroke penalty, drop kick only.
Ball on the green- throw only.
hole is complete when the ball comes to a rest in the hole.
Of course, we will add our own rules on top of this!
