March Statement from Morris Rugby President Andrea Matthews on COVID-19
To Parents, Players and Coaches,
As concern grows regarding the Coronavirus, I just wanted to reach to our community to update everyone. Morris Rugby takes this very seriously and will monitor the recommendations from the CDC, local state department and USA Rugby regularly.
At this time, we will continue with all scheduled events, practices and games but would ask everyone to follow these commonsense measures:
- If you are sick or feeling unwell then please stay at home. Not infecting others is more important than practicing or playing in a game.
- Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly and regularly. If water isn’t available, hand sanitizer or wipes are an alternative.
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow, not your hand. Use a tissue and throw it away if possible.
- Do not share water bottles or containers.
- Preferably avoid handshakes when greeting players and opponents.
Updates and necessary information will be communicated via email, the Morris Rugby website newsfeed and social media.
Stay Healthy,
Andrea Matthews
President
