Morris Rugby Comedy Night Returns November 13th
Join us on Saturday, November 13th for an evening of fun and laughter presented by Morris Rugby and the Dover Moose Lodge. Tickets: $49 includes the show featuring comedians from Ginger Ninja Productions—Mike James, Kevin Israel and LaTice—plus beer, wine, soft drinks and buffet dinner. Doors open at 6:30 pm; show commences at 8 pm. All proceeds will benefit the McDevitt Family in honor of Paul McDevitt. Morris Women Hosting a Tackle-A-Thon Fundraiser October 23rd
Support the women’s team at their last home game of the 2021 fall season against Danbury at 11 am at Pocono field. Select a player and pledge an amount for each tackle, try, or kick (you pick!) that the player makes during the game. Suggested pledge amounts: $1/5 per tackle or $10-20 per try or kick. Congratulations to our Morris High School girls for winning the West Chester 7 s tournament on Sunday, October 10th. A huge congratulations to Sydney Siblia for being named MVP of the tournament. |

Masters Honor Paul McDevitt in Inaugural Memorial Match
On a beautiful day in September, the Morris Rugby Masters played the Marine Corps Old Breed Rugby in the inaugural Paul McDevitt Cup in honor of Paul—husband, father, friend, rugby player/coach, Morris trustee and Marine. Paul’s heritage with both teams was celebrated both on and off the field. In an open-flowing, end-to-end game, the Old Breed took the first win 52-43 and the man of the match award went to Jim Blottman. |

Golf Outing Winners Celebrate Back-to-Back Victories
After the annual golf outing was postponed due to bad weather in September, we were blessed with a gorgeous day on the green on Thursday, October 14th. Farmstead Golf and Country Club was once again the perfect venue and a great day was had by all. Congratulations go to our winning foursome, who defended their 2020 title: Ben Willans, Josh Willans, Tyler Woytas and Tim Cook. SAVE THE DATE FOR 2022: Thursday, September 22nd, 2022! |

Reminder: Dogs No Longer Permitted on Pocono Field
The Denville Recreation Department has placed a sign at Pocono Road stating “No Dogs Permitted on Fields.” As a club, we ask everyone to follow the rules so as not to jeopardize our use of the fields. Many of the Morris Rugby Family are dog lovers and owners, but dog owners should consider the safety of their dogs, players and spectators and whether the excitement and distractions at games and events are suitable places for dogs on ALL the fields we use. Morris Rugby reminds our community that dogs are not permitted at any of our home games and events. |
