SAVE THE DATE! Morris Rugby’s Annual General Meeting
Sunday, February 11th, 2024 is a jam-packed day at the Moose! First, join us for a hot cooked breakfast—including sausages, scrambled eggs, home fries, danishes and coffee. Then, watch the Ireland vs Italy Six Nations match live at 10 am. The Morris Rugby AGM will commence at 12:30 pm after the match. Come find out more about what the Morris Rugby Corporation has been doing in 2023 and our plans for 2024! There will be a $10 charge for Morris Rugby members and players for breakfast and the game. (No charge to attend AGM only.) Plus, you can participate in a Tricky Tray all weekend with proceeds from this and the breakfast going to support a Moose Lodge member who needs help with mounting medical costs. |

Winter Training Is Underway!
Open practices for the U12, U14 and High School teams—both Boys and Girls—are being held every Monday from 6-7:30 pm in the Center Court Dome, 184 Flanders Netcong Road, Mount Olive. The girls teams are also doing extra sessions on Tuesdays from 6-8 pm at Basecamp 31, 1250 NJ-31, Lebanon, and Saturday mornings from 10-11:30 am, also at Basecamp. The men’s team is holding indoor practices on Wednesday nights from 9-10:30 pm at Center Court Morristown, 65 Columbia Rd. Every practice is open to newcomers! Spread the word! |

Sign Up for 2024 Rugby NJ College Fair & Combine
Rugby New Jersey will hold its annual College Fair and Combine on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the Sports Performance Lab in Middletown, New Jersey. Over 100 College Rugby Programs have been invited to attend. The College Fair is open from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. All high school rugby players and their parents are encouraged to attend the combine, especially 10th and 11th grade students. Players must sign up for a specific time slot to participate in the Athletic Evaluation and can visit the college fair either before or after their session (or both). All participating student athletes will get a Rugby New Jersey tech shirt. Registration is required: fill out the Google form here. Six Nations Viewings at the Moose Start February 10th

Morris Rugby Needs You! Open Trustee Positions
Volunteer on the Board of Trustees and be the change you want to see in the club. The trustees meet monthly throughout the year to support all our teams and players and ensure the growth and viability of the Morris Rugby Corporation for years to come. The Communications Trustee is the main role to manage and coordinate the Morris Rugby website and social media. The Secretary is responsible for the administration of the board of trustees, including agenda setting and recording of minutes, plus coordination for the annual AGM. Volunteers Needed: Mac & Cheese Mayhem on 2/24/24
Looking for 6 people to volunteer at the Mac & Cheese Mayhem on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Morristown Armory, 430 Western Ave in Morristown. Part of the proceeds from this event benefit Morris Rugby. Volunteers are needed to assist with the entrance process for a two-hour volunteer slot. You will receive free entrance into the event after your shift! This is a perfect event for students looking for volunteer hours. Volunteer with Morris Rugby at this prestigious beer tasting event on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The event is located at the Morristown Armory. Upcoming Level 1 Referee Course
Rugby NJ is hosting a Level 1 Referee Course at Don Bosco HS in Ramsey, NJ, on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Referees are an important part of rugby. Currently many games are cancelled or postponed due to the lack of referees. Step out of your comfort zone and learn the skills needed to referee a rugby game!
