2021 Seasons Kicking Off for High School Girls, U12/U14 Girls & Men’s Teams

After a long winter hiatus, Morris Rugby’s players are beginning to thaw out and some teams are starting to train again. See below for current details. Reminder: The Morris Rugby Covid-19 guidelines are still in place for all practices and games and waivers are still required.

High School Girls and U12/U14 Girls Rugby

The HS and U12/U14 girls will follow the same practice schedule until further notice. Schedule below is subject to change. Email HS Girls Coach Bill Dobbs at [email protected] or U12/U14 Girls coach Kris O’Brien at [email protected] for more info.

First 2 weeks in February
Mondays – 6 pm – 7 pm at Centercourt Mount Olive, 184 Flanders Netcong Rd, Flanders, NJ 07836, in the bubble
Saturdays – 10 am at Raritan Field, 606 1st Ave, Raritan, NJ — weather permitting

February 15–February 28
Mondays – 6 pm – 7 pm Centercourt Mount Olive in the bubble
Wednesdays – 6 pm – 7:30 pm at Veterans Memorial Field (Denville Turf), 34 Zeek Rd, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 — weather permitting
Saturdays – TBD there will be practice, just not sure of location or times yet

Men’s Rugby

Men’s practices begin February 2nd with sessions Tuesday and Thursday 9 pm – 10:30 pm in the dome at Centercourt Sports, 65 Columbia Rd, Morristown, NJ 07960. Training will be compliant with the recent Empire GU league restrictions and NJ COVID-19 guidelines.

morris-rugby-six-nations-2021-square Six Nations Outdoor Viewings Commence Saturday, February 6th

Enjoy the opening 2021 Guinness Six Nations matches, hosted outside by Morris Rugby at the Dover Moose Lodge, 21 Sammis Avenue, Dover, NJ 07081. Light breakfast fare included with your donation this round. Week one matches include:

Saturday, February 6th – 9:15 am Italy vs France, 11:45 am England vs Scotland
Sunday, February 7th – 10 am Wales vs Ireland

Mark your calendar: Morris Rugby’s Annual General Meeting will take place virtually on Sunday, February 28th from 4–5 pm. Zoom link forthcoming.
morris-rugby-we-need-you Morris Rugby Athletic Trainer Coordinator Still Needed

This volunteer opportunity involves submission of game schedules from Coaches for all Morris teams, youth and adult, to the Atlantic Health contact at the beginning of each season and confirmation on a weekly basis of any changes to Atlantic Health.
