HS Girls Spaghetti Dinner
The High School Girls are hosting their annual spaghetti dinner on Saturday, February 24th from 5-9 pm at the Moose. $10 per person at the door; free entry for kids age 10 and under. Plus, the event includes a silent auction with a ton of great items—including a signed Munster Rugby game jersey! Be there on Feb. 24th and support the girls team. See flyer attached. |

Morris Girls Frequenting Florida This Spring
Good luck to Morris’ Abby Cirillo and JoJo Mignone, suiting up for the Elite Girls Rugby League (EGRL) Selects this weekend! The girls are competing at the US U18 Regional All-Star Event in St. Petersburg, FL. Stream the games live on the EGRL YouTube channel. The first match kicks off at 6:30 pm today. Also, congratulations to Morris’ Maeve Flaherty, who has been named to the Atlantis U14 squad to compete at Tropical 7s on March 29-30 in Tampa, FL! |

Men’s and Women’s Indoor Training Schedule
The men’s team continues to hold indoor practices as they gear up for the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day tournament. Practices are Wednesday nights from 9-10:30 pm at Center Court Morristown, 65 Columbia Rd. New players and women’s players are invited to attend. The women’s team announced spring indoor training sessions to begin March 13th from 7-9 pm at Turf City Indoor Sports Center, 1235 NJ-23, Wayne. Indoor sessions will be 3/13, 3/18, 3/21, 3/25 and 3/28. Every practice is open to newcomers! Spread the word! |

Morris Rugby Needs You! Give Back to the Game as a Trustee
Volunteer on the Board of Trustees and be the change you want to see in the club. The trustees meet monthly throughout the year to support all our teams and players and ensure the growth and viability of the Morris Rugby Corporation for years to come. The Communications Trustee is the main role to manage and coordinate the Morris Rugby website and social media. The Secretary is responsible for the administration of the board of trustees, including agenda setting and recording of minutes, plus coordination for the annual AGM. 4 Volunteers Needed for Mac & Cheese Mayhem
We are still looking for 4 more people to volunteer at the Mac & Cheese Mayhem on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Morristown Armory, 430 Western Ave in Morristown. Part of the proceeds from this event benefit Morris Rugby. Volunteers are needed to assist with the entrance process for a two-hour volunteer slot—11 am to 1 pm or 3 to 5 pm. You will receive free entrance into the event after your shift! This is a perfect event for students looking for volunteer hours. 11 Volunteers Needed for Big Brew Beer Festival
Volunteer with Morris Rugby at this prestigious beer tasting event on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The event is located at the Morristown Armory. Volunteer to help with the check-in process for a couple hours and get into the best beer festival in NJ for FREE! Proceeds from this event benefit Morris Rugby. Upcoming Level 1 Referee Course
Rugby NJ is hosting a Level 1 Referee Course at Don Bosco HS in Ramsey, NJ, on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Referees are an important part of rugby. Currently many games are cancelled or postponed due to the lack of referees. Step out of your comfort zone and learn the skills needed to referee a rugby game! World Rugby’s “T1” Coming to NJ
Late in 2023, World Rugby announced plans to formally endorse touch rugby as “T1”. Some Morris coaches have partnered with the EGRL to host the North American T1 Championships on May 19th, 2024 at Bundt Park in Lebanon, NJ. Leading up to the event, they are hosting an 8-week introductory curriculum locally for girls and boys ages 7-13. Grow the game. See press release attached. EGRL Featured by Your Scrumhalf Connection
Entering its third spring season, the Elite Girls Rugby League, founded by Morris’ own HS Girls coaches, continues to grow and thrive. Mark your calendars for the 2024 Annual Showcase and EGRL Championship to be held June 8-9th at Bundt Park in Lebanon.
