Head Coach – Morris Rugby Girls High School U18/U19 Team
Morris Rugby is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Coach for our nationally ranked Girls High School U18/U19 program. This is a unique opportunity to lead a premier program that competes in the Elite Girls Rugby League (EGRL)—spanning from upstate New York to South Carolina.
As the only girls’ rugby club program in New Jersey, Morris Rugby is committed to fostering an environment rooted in teamwork, player development, and club values. We are looking for a coach who shares this vision and can help guide the team into its next phase of success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of coaching and player development for the U18/U19 girls’ team
• Plan and execute training sessions that build skills, fitness, and game strategy
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture
• Collaborate with assistant coaches, team managers, and the broader Morris Rugby community
• Manage game-day coaching responsibilities, including travel to league matches and tournaments
• Support player recruitment and retention
Qualifications:
• Previous coaching experience in rugby (preferably with high school or youth programs)
• USA Rugby coaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to commit to regular travel for games and tournaments
• A passion for mentoring young athletes and promoting the values of rugby
Compensation:
• A stipend is available for the appropriately skilled candidate
