U14 Boys Win Rugby NJ Championship
Huge congratulations to BOTH the Morris Rugby Boys U12 and U14 teams for winning their respective NJ STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! On Sunday, May 21st, the boys went undefeated all day at CBA to cap off an impressive spring season with strong recruitment. Next up, the boys have their end of season party tomorrow and are attending the Stamford 7s tournament on June 24th. |

High School Boys Win NJ Championship
More congratulations are in order for our STATE CHAMPION Morris HS Boys!!! The team defeated the Union Mudturtles 34-17 on Saturday, May 27th at CBA to win the NJ State Championship. The final was a repeat of their 27-7 win against Union three weeks earlier to secure a bye in the playoff semi-finals. You can read a recap of that match written by rising senior Ivan Gomez here. This past Tuesday, June 14th, the boys held their end of season party. Congratulations to graduating senior Isaac Gamboa who received Paul McDevitt Leadership Award! |

Six Morris HS Boys Named to Rugby NJ All Stars
The Rugby New York Ironworkers are hosting their 2nd annual all-star competition this Saturday, June 17th at Mt. Vernon Stadium. Rugby NJ recently held tryouts and selected 24 standout players from teams across the state, including Morris, Union, Delbarton, CBA, St. Augustine Prep, Central Monmouth and Bridgewater. Morris HS Girls Finish 2nd in Elite Girls Rugby League
This past weekend was the Rugby Showcase East (formerly MAWRS) in Clinton, NJ. In a semi-final rematch of the 2022 final, the Morris HS Girls defeated Doylestown to clinch their spot in the final. In a thrilling match, the girls held their own but ultimately fell to Aspetuck 33-21. Huge congratulations to the team and coaches on another strong season! Youth Flag Week 1 Matches Kick Off Tomorrow
Our youth flag program is off to a great start, and the players take the field tomorrow for the first matches of the season. Denville River Cleanup Scheduled for August 18th
Volunteers are needed Friday, August 18th at 5:30 pm for the annual Denville river cleanup. Our efforts at the cleanup help the Denville community and ensure the quality of Pocono Field for years to come! Meet at 5:30 pm and wear long sleeves, long pants and bring gloves to protect against poison ivy! |
