Morris Rugby Seeks Head Coach for Girls High School Team
Morris Rugby is seeking a head coach for their Girls High School team. Morris Rugby, Established in 1977, is a large club with “cradle to grave” playing opportunities from the youth flag level through our Masters men’s team.
The Girls HS team has been very successful in the past several seasons, earning both the local level championships and also reaching the national qualifiers over the last eight (8) years. We have many players that are now joining the team that have come through our youth system. Additionally we have had a large number of players who have gone on to successful college careers, which has paved the way for continued success of the program. We need a committed coach to lead us into the next phase of this success.
Morris Rugby Girls HS Head Coach position responsibilities include:
- Develop the year-long “game plan,” which includes practices, scrimmages, league play, and tournaments for 15’s and 7’s.
- Recruit and mentor the players, both new and returning, to help them reach the highest levels of play possible.
- Maintain discipline and the highest standard of ethics and sportsmanship.
- Support the players as they decide on collegiate careers and beyond.
- Interface with college coaches in order to allow Morris Rugby to be at the forefront of their respective recruiting efforts.
- Ability to affectively interact with parents on all aspects of the program.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Level 200 or greater from USA rugby or IRB.
- Minimum 3 years coaching experience
