if you have not taken the World Rugby Concussion Management for the General Public you must complete that before you can register for the class. I just took it and there is good information there and it?s not hard and it takes about 30 minutes to take the on-line program. Then you get a certificate suitable for framing! If you have taken a referee class or had this a part of a USA and or World Rugby program you may already have it. If the USA information is wrong and you have a valid certificate, let USA Rugby know. Contact Rob Crips at USA Rugby [email protected] directly and let him know you have the class done. But get it done soon.
So first register with World Rugby, then go through the different programs and complete it. THEN sign up formally for the L2 class. Yes, there is a bit of a lag time between World Rugby getting the details to USA Rugby. So don?t delay, take the concussion protocol ASAP.
- The WR Concussion Management for the General Public module found at http://www.playerwelfare.worldrugby.org/?documentid=module&module=21.
About the venue. Fordham is pretty easy to get to there is a stop on the B/D line and Metro North stops at Fordham. We can also email about rides with those driving up. Again, as we get closer. Someone suggested the Ryetown Hilton as a good hotel venue not too far away and on the Metro North line. Another option.
You must register on the USA Rugby website https://webpoint.usarugby.org/wp15/Events2/ViewEvt.wp?EventID=2187. There is a cost but RRSNY members will be reimbursed for some or all the costs.
The RRSNY is also holding a Level 1 referee class – L1 class ? Feb. 4 Saturday, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.
Arrival time 9:30a expect to be there until 4p (Lunch included). You must also sign up for that at USA Rugby?s website.
