MONTCLAIR BLUES YOUTH RUGBY
The Montclair Blues were founded by Montclair parents who coached for many years at the Montville Wanderers. We realized that many kids were travelling from Montclair to Montville to play rugby.
6 Founding Circle members donated funds to start the club, and here we are!
We will field teams based on current school grade levels (as of May, 2016): Owls (pre-K, K and 1st grades), Falcons (2nd and 3rd grades), Hawks (4th, 5th and 6th grades) and Eagles (7th and 8th grades).
WHAT IS YOUTH RUGBY
Youth Flag Rugby is a CO-ED non-contact version of Rugby designed to introduce kids to Rugby in a fun and enjoyable way.
I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT RUGBY
It doesn't matter. Rugby is easy for any kid to learn, it has simple rules, and is all about having fun running around with a ball. It’s that simple. Our coaches are Moms and Dads who know Rugby, and who will make sure everyone has maximum fun. To be clear, this is about fun. Everyone plays, everyone scores, everyone wins and everyone has an awesome time. Your kids deserve a break from high pressure sports - heck you deserve a break from high pressure sports.
GIRLS ARE WELCOME
In our experience, Youth Flag Rugby is more fun and interesting for girls and boys when girls join in. Girls are as athletic as boys at these ages and bring different strengths to the team dynamic that enriches the experience for everyone. Co-ed is fun and educational for all!

Morris, you see, had…Read More
In the shadow of the venerable olde Yale Bowl, just a Misty Mountain Hop, skip and a jump down I-91 from the Meriden YMCA camp, the Greys would host the opening palooza of the Fall 2018 season. A decent number of Masters signed up to battle the I-95 traffic to New Haven, but after Wankers…Read More
