MORRIS HS GIRLS WIN FIRST LEAGUE MATCH 81-10 OVER SOUTH JERSEY

This was the first league match of the season, and the Morris girls picked up where they left off when they wont the state championship in commanding fashion over Union last June. To be fair, South Jersey is in a rebuilding mode and were not able to field a full side, making the match an official forfeit. However, Morris gave South Jersey some of their strongest players including all American Delia Hellander, Atlantis veterans Tammy Cowan, Jordan Cowan, Brianna Whitfield, and Alie Ramage. The good news for Morris was that, even without these excellent players, the rest of the team was able to run their structure and put up plenty of tries. They also used the opportunity to move players around into new positions in order to provide back ups in case there are injuries later in the season.
